Do you usually read through ingredient lists of the food you buy?

Read the ingredient list of your favorite cereal, cookie, chips, or any other “processed food.”  Do you see any ingredient you don’t recognize?  List them out and do some research to find out why they are put in the recipes.  Write or call the customer center of the company and explain to them why you would like them to take out the ingredient(s).  Let’s flex our consumer power to drive changes in the food industry to a more natural & healthy direction. Share with the class the following info:

  1. the name & manufacture of the food in concern
  2. the ingredient(s) in concern;  and your reasons?
  3. the response of the customer service personnel

This is my final team assignment and it is VERY IMPORTANT that the deadline for submission is met. This assignment is a Powerpoint assignment. It is due by Saturday Dec 15th 12:30 PM EST for submission to my Team Leader. Which means that I MUST have it by 11 AM CST Saturday Dec 15th so that can meet the Team Leader’s deadline. Time is of the essence with this assignment. I cannot except last minute completions or requests of time extension. Please review the below assignment instructions.

The presence of the radioactive gas radon (Rn) in well water presents a possible health hazard in parts of the United States.

A) Assuming that the solubility of radon in water with 1 atm pressure of the gas over the water at 30 ∘C is 7.27×10^−3M, what is the Henry’s law constant for radon in water at this temperature?

B) A sample consisting of various gases contains 3.5×10^−6 mole fraction of radon. This gas at a total pressure of 30 atm is shaken with water at 30 ∘C. Calculate the molar concentration of radon in the water.

I mix 4.53 grams of nitrogen, 9.26 grams of hydrogen and 6.12 grams of helium in a flask. If the total pressure in the system was found to be 149 kPa. How much pressure of the total does each gas exert?

Element 118 was reportedly synthesized in 1999, but the claim was later retracted. As a consequence of that experiment, element 116 was discovered. To what period and group would each of these two elements belong, and what known elements should each resemble? Homogenized milk is composed of microscopic globules of fat suspended in a watery medium. Is homogenized milk a true solution (homogeneous mixture)? Explain.Figure 11.27 on page 317 shows a photograph of chlorine, bro-mine, and iodine. Why should neither you nor the photographer attempt to take a picture of fluorine? You are the supervisor in a car assembly plant where each car produced requires one body and four wheels. You discover that the plant has 200 bodies and 900 wheels. How many cars can be made from this inventory? (How does this problem fit in with the law of definite proportions?) Your friend has glasses with photochromic lenses; they darken and lighten as he goes outdoors and then back indoors. Explain to him that there is a lot of ionic chemistry going on inside the glass to cause the lenses to change.
