Once you have completed the video, make a new discussion board thread to answer the following questions:

1. Explain why people living in slums in the early 1900’s were more likely to be affected by infectious diseases such as tuberculosis, typhoid fever, and smallpox.

2. Explain the controversy surrounding Mary Mallon and the Health Department of NYC.

3. Using internet resources, describe another controversy where a health department or CDC have argued for a specific medical intervention. What is/was the argument the health department or CDC made for that medical intervention? What argument did private citizens make against this medical intervention?

I am needing help with number 3 on this. I have 1 and 2 no problem but 3 is racking my brain!!
