Here is the instruction you need to look on to do the writing:

1.Read the Raymond Carver’s novel ” Cathedral”, do your research, and write an Analysis paper or Comparison and Contrast paper based on it. You can read the article online or I offered the picture copies under there.

2.MLA format. No outside sources needed, but quotes from the story needed. You can use 3 kinds of quotations in paper: Short(direct) quotation, Paraphrase, and Block quote( use at lease one block quote in the paper). You can go to Purdue OWL to see what the format looks like. Also, a work cited page needed.(you have only one resource, I offered you a sample one in the attached file.)

3.Here are some hints you can refer to in the note I put in the attached file. (It’s just a quick note, you may not understand some parts, but it’s kind of a direction.)
